Seed coating

Seed coating is a process through which seeds are coated with protective chemicals, nutrients, priming agents, etc., to ensure successful germination of seeds as well as enhanced vigor of young seedlings. The use of active components in seed coating ensures more precise application, reducing the need to spray products over whole fields. Seed coating technology offers a promising avenue for enhancing the quality and performance of crop seeds. Preservation of seed quality and vigor during long-term storage and transport is another challenge that is addressed by the protective function of the seed coating. BIOCEED forms a neutral coating on the seeds, which naturally degrades within 28 days in soil. Integration of an active component (chemical or biological) with BIOCEED does not require any metal chelates, nor any specific complex formation.
